Few things in life aren't made more satisfying with a cold drink in your hand. And if you ask me, shopping is at the top of the list.
The South End Open Market added booze to the mix in June, to much praise. You can sip on vino while choosing charcuterie at Eataly. And now the Boston Public Market is following suit, adding "Sip & Shop" evenings beginning Jan. 19 and running through the end of March, from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
“We have always been interested in offering visitors the unique opportunity to enjoy New England craft beer and wine as they shop year-round,” said BPM CEO Cheryl Cronin. “This series gives us a chance to test the waters and customer interest while adding a fun, new component to grocery shopping and Market exploring this winter.”
Customers can find a pop-up bar located inside the Market’s main entrance at Hanover and Congress Streets featuring wine from the Massachusetts Wine Shop and beers curated from in-house vendor Hopsters Alley, including Lee Cooper's own New England IPAs Newtonian and Comet Citra.
In July, Hopsters hosted an outdoor beer garden at the Boston Public Market, on the corner of Surface and Hanover roads.
