June 27th is creeping up, the date of BostInno's State of Innovation Forum. In advance of that, we've been offering a series of preview posts covering mobile, marketing & advertising, education, and retail & e-commerce. At the event itself, we'll be diving into much greater detail with the help of expert panelists. (Sign up here.)
Today, I have the pleasure of not only sharing the panelists for our Marketing & Advertising panel, but previewing a bit of the discussion. Our panelists are included below, but here's the fun part. We asked all our panelists several questions in advance of our panel, designed to promote disagreement. I won't give them all away now, since they'll be the backbone of our discussion. But next to each panelist is their response to the statement Tumblr was a good buy for Yahoo.

Paul Krasinski, SVP Publisher Solutions at Visible Measures - Somewhat Agree - "If the integration of Tumblr can be successful, this will be a good buy."
Panelists
Marc Grabowski, COO at Nanigans - Maybe. "I worked at Yahoo! for 9 years and since leaving have made it a point not to comment on their actions publicly."
Kevin Green, SVP, Strategy & Analytics at Digital Influence Group - Not really. "If they are banking on Tumblr as a native advertising platform, I think they missed the boat. If the users wouldn't accept it when Tumblr was independent, it's hard to imagine they will be open to it now."
Elliott Seaborn, EVP, Executive Director at Arnold Worldwide - Maybe. "As long as they don't destroy it and can add it's features in a way that makes sense. It brings a younger audience and relevance to Yahoo. We'll see, it could also destroy Tumblr."
Bill Alberti, SVP, Strategy at Communispace - Strongly agree.
Who's right and who's wrong? Join us on the 27th to hear more from the panelists. Below, see the full list of panelists across industries.
