Nominations for BostInno’s annual Fire Awards are now open. Submit your picks here by Sunday, June 18.
Fire is our premier awards and events showcase, held every year to highlight the startups, growing companies and people that have had a banner year within the local ecosystem. BostInno accepts nominations from community members for this annual awards program and reviews our coverage from the past year to determine who will be on the Fire list, grouped into categories.
The 50 companies selected for the Fire list are presented to a panel of judges (local influencers and community leaders) who vote on one honoree per category they feel has made the biggest impact or contribution to the ecosystem (the Inno Blazer) for each category.
Last year’s 50 honorees included companies and individuals across nine categories. The Inno Blazers in each category were announced at an event held at W Boston Hotel. Innovators who took home the trophies include names like PepGen, Harvard Innovation Labs, NewStore and Insurify.
The honorees selected each year have proven to BostInno and our judges that they’ve had a standout 12 months, despite the current economic headwinds facing the tech industry. These companies and individuals have raised new funding for their ventures, released a game-changing product, filed several patents, emerged from stealth, landed a massive partner or client, built a mentor network, initiated charitable give-back programs, made a significant hire, expanded internationally or executed a successful pivot. We also spotlight individuals who are leading, supporting or assisting these organizations.

We will award winners in some or all of the following categories. If your nominee doesn’t fit inside one of these categories, we still invite you to submit a nomination. The categories featured each year are shaped, in part, by the nominations we receive.

We will announce the honorees in the second half of 2023 and will share details about the Fire Awards event where we name the Inno Blazers at a later date.
