Allison Swagler has left her post as director of Birmingham's Venture for America program.
Swagler is moving over to gener8tor as managing director for the Bronze Valley Accelerator.
In an email announcing her resignation, Swagler said she will "remain a fierce supporter of (the) local program and all of (the) fantastic fellows and alumni."

She returned to the city in 2014 after earning her degree in journalism and mass communications from Washington and Lee University. She then earned an MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
The news of her appointment at the Bronze Valley Accelerator comes shortly after the program was named a BBJ 2023 Inno Fire award winner.
