Birmingham-based Conserv is an environmental monitoring subscription for collections, working with museums, libraries and archives, historical properties and private collections. Its tech delivers continuous, automated data collection and analysis backed by a team of professionals that helps manage a collection environment. The company raised a $3 million funding round in 2022.

“Nathan McMinn and I started this business to build better tools for the millions of people that care for our shared cultural heritage," Senseman said. "It’s been a rewarding journey leading Conserv, and I’m very proud of what our team has accomplished. ... I’m confident that under Dave’s leadership, Conserv will continue to grow and to serve our customers at a very high level.”

Masom has been with Conserv since early 2022, serving as the group’s product leader. Under his guidance, the company released improvements to its environmental monitoring software and scaled its infrastructure to serve a growing number of collections, according to a news release.

“I’m truly honored to take on this role and continue the legacy that Austin and Nathan have built,” Masom said. “Conserv is poised for exciting developments, and I am committed to steering our team towards new horizons while upholding the values and mission that make us unique.”

This transition comes at a time when Conserv is closing a fundraising round and reaching significant revenue milestones. The board of directors believes the leadership change will bolster Conserv’s growth trajectory and solidify its position as an industry leader, according to a statement.
