Endeavor, a global organization that supports high-impact entrepreneurs, has launched its Founder Fellowship program in Birmingham.

The program provides access to a "hyper-curated" network and mentorship for early-stage entrepreneurs in the greater Birmingham area. Endeavor is looking for entrepreneurs who have the potential to create large-scale wealth and jobs by scaling their businesses, according to a release. The program is open to high-growth early-stage entrepreneurs with strong early traction with their product and up to $1 million in revenue.

The Founder Fellowship is the latest evolution in Endeavor’s support for Birmingham's entrepreneurs. After running its pre-Endeavor program, ScaleUp for three years, a question kept coming up among founders: What does life after an accelerator look like? While accelerators can be critical to an entrepreneur’s launch, the founder’s journey will likely stretch on for years, even a decade.

Endeavor's new effort aims to offer support to these founders who were still searching for answers, connections and community after demo day. The Fellowship is intended to fill the gap between the company’s successful launch and Endeavor’s selection process for its global network. Selected entrepreneurs will participate in monthly programming that includes industry and problem-specific mentorship, a community of local and national entrepreneurs and in-person events.

"We believe that access to mentors who have done it before is like a cheat code for founders," said Malcolm McDonald, Birmingham general manager for Endeavor. "We want to give that access to Birmingham’s brightest who will use it to turn Birmingham into a magnet for talent, capital and commerce"

Applications will be reviewed quarterly. The current cycle deadline is May 31.
