Q&A with Jon Meachin, CEO of Fleetio
Founded in 2012, Fleetio started in Innovation Depot and is now located on 2nd Avenue North in the heart of downtown Birmingham. The company currently has nearly 300 employees, who work together to help organizations track, analyze and improve their fleet operations.
What does innovation mean to you?
Fleet maintenance management hinges on accuracy, efficiency and proactive thinking. Fleetio tackles customer challenges head-on, from extending the life of aging vehicles today to integrating alternative fuel vehicles into the fleets of tomorrow. We're on a continuous journey of transformation, evolving to help businesses reduce downtime, scale and grow.
What ways has your company innovated and/or created meaningful impact?
Through the creation of Fleetio’s Fleet Maintenance Marketplace of over 100,000 shops (Firestone, Pep Boys, Valvoline, etc.), fleets expedite and automate approvals, return vehicles to service quicker and digitize work order history effortlessly. We’re not just innovating within the field, we’re redefining fleet optimization through data-driven insights that reduce total cost of ownership.
What else do you want people to know about your company?
Fleetio is a dominant force in fleet optimization, now serving almost 7,000 customers in over 100 countries. We’ve evolved from being a software as a service (SaaS) solution to a comprehensive business platform, and we’ve barely scratched the surface. We’re proud of our role as a pioneer within the Birmingham tech ecosystem and look forward to continuing that momentum.
