Last week, the Baltimore Business Journal launched Maryland Inno, a digital media, events and data enterprise focused on emerging innovators, growth-stage startups and their investors.
As a first step in this new process, we introduce our Inno Under 25, five entrepreneurs age 25 or younger who are building ventures in Maryland through innovation and tech-enabled business strategies.
From working to reduce corneal blindness to using artificial intelligence, to helping companies detect and prevent problematic language in online communication channels, to making home dialysis safer and more accessible, these young entrepreneurs aren't shying away from tackling tough problems.
In choosing this first class of nominees, Maryland Inno sought recommendations from within the state's startup community. The final selections were chosen by the Maryland Inno and Baltimore Business Journal editorial team.
