Virtual receptionist and answering services company Moneypenny has named Richard Culberson as CEO of its North America operations, the company announced.

Culberson, who will be based at its North American headquarters in metro Atlanta, previously worked as general manager of GPS Apparel at Gap Inc., according to the release. He also launched and scaled the home life business unit and associated suite of connected home services at Cox Enterprises.

He is succeeding Eric Schurke for the position. Schurke held the position since December 2020, according to LinkedIn.

“Richard’s introduction is a really key appointment for Moneypenny at a time when we are turbo-charging our US growth and development, having acquired Alphapage in August 2022 and VoiceNation and Ninja Number in 2020,” said Joanna Swash, group CEO of Moneypenny, in the release.

Culberson looks to take Moneypenny North America “next level” by developing its contact center teams and growing the business, he said in the release.

Based in the United Kingdom, Moneypenny opened its U.S. headquarters in Duluth in 2021. That was following its acquisition of metro Atlanta companies VoiceNation and Ninja Number.

Its 27,000-square-foot Atlanta office, located at 2915 Premiere Parkway, has a capacity of about 225 employees, Atlanta Inno previously reported. The office has an industrial raised ceiling, a space with a kitchen and reading chairs for employees to brainstorm and sound-proofed desk pods with headsets.
