A Wichita transplant is aiming for a big year for his digital startup.

Kamsa Thephavong brought his K&G Digital 360 LLC business to Wichita in 2017 after two years in Des Moines following college in Iowa.

What launched as a one-person digital marketing business has since grown to 25 contract workers and a growing client list that should help Thephavong cross an important milestone this year.

“We should do $1 million (in sales) this year,” he says.

The young business provides everything from search engine optimization and content marketing, to email blasts and content production and marketing.

Thephavong credits the growth to word-of-mouth of satisfied customers and networking efforts to get the business on more radar screens in Wichita and beyond.

He says his arrival here was a “leap of faith,”  but in Wichita, he says, he has found an inviting ecosystem for startup companies.

While there could always be more resources, Thephavong says he has been impressed as he has interacted with other entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial organizations with the momentum for technology startups locally.

He has also found success here, as well, as both the growing revenue and accolades like being named a best agency for SEO in Wichita for 2022 by Expertise.com — all stemming from a business he was inspired to create from having made YouTube videos with his friends in his youth.

As he has since scaled his services, Thephavong believes a differentiator for his business is its ability to digitally work for clients anywhere in the world.

But he is aiming for growth locally, as well, and says there is also a good local talent pool for needed hiring as the business grows. His goal: To keep finding success from his new home.

“We want to be successful from Wichita,” he says.
