The on-demand moving platform Dolly is helping D.C. residents take a load off by delivering Christmas trees to its users. It launched in the metro area in September and is now helping residents gear up for the holidays by delivering Christmas trees for $75.

Dolly users can order their trees directly through the app and have Douglas or Fraser firs delivered straight to their doors. The company is also offering tree stands for an additional fee.

The startup is based in Seattle and also expanded to San Francisco and Los Angeles this year.

“Over the past four years we’ve learned a lot about what works and what doesn’t in terms of the markets we serve,” CEO Mike Howell said in a statement. “We could have expanded a long time ago but we wanted to be smart about where and when to grow the business."

Dolly also provides donation delivery services for users looking to give back this holiday season. The company sends helpers for those who just need assistance with lifting items or the helpers can do all of the work for about $75.

“We understand that most people do not need a Dolly every day, every week or even every month,” Howell said. “As a result it doesn’t make sense for Dolly to heavily subsidize a first use-case like many subscription businesses do. This means we have to work even harder on customer service; it’s something we take a lot of pride in."

In September, Dolly attributed its growth to $1 million in monthly revenue to partnerships with major retailers like Costco, Big Lots, Lowe’s and Crate & Barrel. Lowes is currently providing the Christmas trees included in Dolly's offer.

The company has raised at least $10 million in funding, including an $8 million round in 2015. Its investors include Amazon Worldwide Consumer CEO Jeff Wilke and Seattle-based venture capital firm Maveron.
