After opening in Philadelphia's Midtown Village and Boston's Back Bay neighborhood earlier this year, The Yard, a Brooklyn-based co-working company, opened their first D.C. location this month.

The Yard's new place is located on the second floor at 700 Pennsylvania Avenue Southeast in Eastern Market. The office is about 32,000 sq. ft., with 110 offices, 440 dedicated desks and four meeting rooms. It also includes two kitchens, lunch areas, an accessible shared building rooftop and gym.

Memberships range from $350 to $650 per month and from the open co-working plan to private offices, which include 15 desks. About 20 members have signed up now, and the office can accommodate up to 440 people, Adrian Simpson, The Yard DC's senior community manager, told DC Inno.

The office also partners with Studio Gallery, a D.C. non-profit organization, to showcase artworks and hold exhibitions. All of the artworks in the office change quarterly.

The company said it hoped to expand into more places in D.C. in the future.
