DLT Solutions

Rubal has long experience in the field, serving as an executive at companies like Oracle, EMC and Cisco. At DLT, he handles the data and analytics portfolio in the company's work for the government.
Clarabridge
  • Reported on Dec. 5, Clarabridge CEO Yuchun Lee stepped down 11 months after he first took on the role. Mark Bishof, the former CEO of Chicago software firm Flexera has taken over the CEO job. DC Inno spoke them, and founder Sid Banerjee, about why Lee is shifting back to his previous, more overarching strategic role in the company, and what this means for the company's long-anticipated IPO.
comScore
  • Reston-based comScore co-founder Magid Abraham resigned from the board of directors of the "digital audience measurement" company, four months after stepping down from the executive chairmanship and 17 years after founding the company. Abraham said he will be focusing more on his other positions, including as the executive chairman at local tech startup APX Labs. His resignation was announced on Dec. 5.
  • comScore also lost former president and CEO Serge Matta from its board on Dec. 19, just two weeks after co-founder Abraham also resigned from the board of directors. The company's been dealing with problems over possible fiscal irregularities that might see it delisted from Nasdaq and have already led to several other board members leaving.
ThreatConnect
OptioLabs
  • Baltimore-based mobile security developer OptioLabs picked Hamilton Turner as its new CTO. Turner, a Virginia Tech alum, was the company's senior director of research and engineering, having joined OptioLabs in 2012.
Twitter
  • The head bird has flown the coop. Adam Sharp, head of news, government and elections at Twitter, has departed the company, he announced on Dec. 9. Sharp is a former Hill staffer and was based in Twitter's D.C. office before moving to their New York outpost. He hasn't said what he'll be doing next.
Department of Defense
  • The Department of Defense named Essye Miller as its new chief information security officer, replacing the retiring Richard Hale, as reported by FedScoop on Dec. 12. Miller is the former director of cybersecurity for the Army.
ClearForce
  • Virginia cybersecurity and risk management app developer ClearForce picked former ALI Solutions chief Tom Miller as its new CEO, the company announced on Dec. 13. ClearForce does real-time monitoring of behavior that may put companies at risk of cyber attacks.

FiscalNote
  • And so the switch for many in the Obama administration to local startup and tech careers has begun. FiscalNote announced on Dec. 22 that Chris Lu will join the team in a newly created role as senior strategy advisor. He'll work with co-founder and CEO Tim Hwang on business development, starting in early February, right after his job as Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor ends.
