Virginia Digital Survey Startup Scores $1.2M in Funding

Virginia-based digital survey and feedback startup Qrvey has closed a $1.2M funding round led by the Center for Innovative Technology. Founded by serial entrepreneur, Arman Eshraghi, Qrvey gathers and analyzes data via mini-surveys, polls and other online gathering techniques.

"It's a simplification of the process of collecting and looking at data that companies already use," Eshraghi told DC Inno in an interview. "People don't respond very much to the old email surveys so we offer something better.

The company is launching a feedback platform that combines data from a mix of sources, including email, social media and other options where client companies can embed its API. The actual surveys can take the form of any kind of poll or quiz or other promotion. It's designed to be easy to embed online and in apps, wherever the potential customers might be looking. The collected data can then be analyzed and offer useful information about customer experience.

This isn't Eshraghi's first time creating a business data intelligence startup. He's probably best known as the founder of  Logi Analytics, another Virginia firm that is still doing well, a factor that played into CIT choosing to invest in his latest venture.

"I saw a lot of opportunity here for companies that need this data but don't have the [digital tools] to collect it," Eshraghi said. "CIT is a very good investor for us. They know what we are doing offers a lot of return on investment and they have the network that will help us grow."
