Virginia Cybersecurity Startup Accelerator MACH37 Inducts Its New Class

Herndon, Va.-based cybersecurity startup accelerator Mach37 has unveiled the five companies chosen for its fall cohort. The startups will get $50,000 investment and spend 90 days in intensive programming where mentors will help them learn how to get their products to a market-ready point, teach them how to attract private investors and prepare for scaling up their companies. The program also serves to connect the startups with some of the very people who might be the potential investors.

Forty startups have been through the program, headquartered at the Center for Innovative Technology. Although partly funded by Virginia, MACH37 has been adding top-level corporate sponsors, and this week SAP National Security Services joined the list, which includes General Dynamics and Amazon Web Services. Check out the first class that will benefit from that addition below.

Adlumin -  Developer of Adlumin Sentry platform that analyzes behavior over time to flag unusual activity that could indicate illicit activity on a network.

INFRA - Creator of technology that can scan network systems for potential holes in security that can be exploited by hackers and coordinates recommendations for improving security.

Steel Mountain - Internet of Things security system developer using anti-virus software in routers to to stop viruses and detect potential attacks.

NS8 - Network traffic management system developer aimed at protecting data with either a web platform or using an API in other systems.

ThreatSwitch - : Compliance software startup to make sure companies are up to date with security regulations and that security managers can keep watch on their systems for potential breaches.
