Washington, D.C. edtech giant Blackboard has a new CEO to go with its new office. SRA International CEO William Ballhaus has joined Blackboard as president and chairman as well as CEO, replacing Jay Bhatt, Blackboard's CEO since 2012.
Ballhaus has a long history in the tech world, pushing SRA into more data analytics, cloud computing and cybersecurity and previously running government contractor DynCorp International. He's also worked at BAE Systems and Boeing.
Bhatt is staying on as a special advisor to help with the transition, suggesting an at least amicable handover.The new chairman is also getting a new vice chairman as Blackboard director and Providence senior advisor Brian Napack takes on the job.
