China's new tech bill worries American companies
Lawmakers in China passed a bill requiring companies to help authorities with decryption of data. Though ostensibly an anti-terrorism law, the Obama administration and American tech companies are concerned that it will be abused to provide private data although the final version doesn't include an earlier provision that would have forced companies to give the Chinese that data.
