Office Envy: The New Blackboard Has a New Home

Blackboard has been around the block more than once, and has circulated back to its original home. The edtech mainstay moved back into its first office builidng (not counting its very first days in a basement), albeit with a lot more room than it used to have. The new, 71,000 square-feet office encompasses three floors of the Clarion Partners building, a building it shares with Blackboard founder Michael Chasen's current company, SocialRadar

It's been an extra busy year or so for the company, which has acquired nearly a dozen companies in the last two years, one every couple of months it seems. And the company has a new focus to go with its new office. Blackboard president Jay Bhatt emphasized during a media presentation how he wanted the company to be more centralized, with better focus even as it does more to reach international customers. Check out our tour of Blackboard's new/old home.
