CSRA Completes Separation from CSC, Names Executive Team Before Jumping on NYSE
  • Falls Church Va.-based CSRA, a wide-ranging government IT contractor, has completed its separation from CSC (CSC) and is now an independent public company trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). Unsurprisingly, CSRA will be listed under the ticker symbol CSRA. CSRA boasts 19,000 employees and pro-forma revenues of $5.5 billion for its work helping the government "modernize their legacy systems, protect their networks and assets, and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of mission-critical functions." Along with the move, a number of current CSC executives and new figures became CSRA board members, including Keith B. Alexander (former director of the NSA), Sanju Bansul, Michčle A. Flournoy and Mark Frantz, among others. “A little more than six months ago, CSC’s Board of Directors determined that two leading pure-play companies, focused exclusively on their respective customer segments, would best serve the interests of our clients, employees and other stakeholders,” said Mike Lawrie, CSC president/CEO and CSRA chairman, in a statement.
