It's been a century since a package brewery opened in Arlington, but that dry spell is about to end in a few weeks when the New District Brewing Company brewery officially opens. Brothers Mike and Steve Katrivanos, along with a long-time friend and their father will officially open the 11,000 square-foot brewery this fall. New District (formerly known as Metropole Brewing) will be selling beer to local restaurants and offering regular tasting sessions with a rotating menu of beer. They invited us in to take a look at the work in progress, promising many tasty beers will start flowing to thirsty folk in Arlington before long.
