Tesla takes the lead in car cybersecurity

Tesla's new Model X comes with falcon-wing doors and a high-tech electric engine but it's the cybersecurity features that other car companies should pay attention to. Since hackers have shown they can break into cars as varied as Tesla and Jeep, cybersecurity is a vital part of any car-maker's future plan. Tesla CEO Elon Musk has pushed to make cybersecurity a central part of Tesla vehicles, a smart business move on his part. The question now is if other companies will catch up. Hot cars and homes for rent in DC

You don't need to own a car or a mansion to impress your friends in D.C., you can rent them. I took a look at P2P car-sharing services RelayRides and Getaround to find the flashiest and most expensive cars you can rent for a day or just a few hours, including cars built by Tesla, Porsche and Mercedes. Chris meanwhile went trawling through Airbnb and put together a list of the priciest area homes on the market for a short-term stay, including an actual castle.

Government shutdowns are bad news for startups

The government (probably) won't shut down next week but the can has only been kicked down the road to December. Startups should hope the Feds don't turn the lights off.
