If you've ever wonder what it's like to be Bryce Harper, Gatorade is offering you a chance to (virtually) be him. A 360° video of him at bat lets you experience (sort of) what it's like to have a 90 mph fastball coming out you. The video is made for desktop, mobile and Android Cardboard. The vision of a Bethesda startup is better vision
Bethesda-based RightEye is using advanced sensors to make vision tests that could make a big impact on everything from sports to the military. The startup has already signed the military and at least one MLB team to use its technology, which can be used for fast concussion diagnosis, to help overcome conditions like lazy eyes and even in therapy to improve coordination and reaction time. MPD may add new body cameras
Amid an uptick in murders, the MPD is testing out a pilot program of body cameras on officers. On Wednesday, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser presented the City Council with a $23 million supplemental budget for upgrades to the D.C. crime lab, new body camera installations and a new job-training program for young, at-risk individuals.
