Apple (AAPL) is hosting its next big event on Sept. 9. Like most of Apple's major events, there's a mix of certainty and wild rumors about what CEO Tim Cook will unveil. Bartending robot at UMd

UMd has plenty of cool tech projects, including a $25,000 robot that a group of talented graduate students and professors programmed to mimic a human bartender. Check out this amazing advance in robotics in Chris Bing's report here.

Personal Uber trip data on Google

Data on at least several dozen Uber trips was automatically saved in Google's cache and became searchable through Google. While this information was at some point publicly shared by users, it's a little disturbing to think about how much a stranger might be able to see about your life from such data. The issue adds to a list of PR black eyes for the company when it comes to user privacy and safety. Read more in our full story here.
