Office Envy: General Assembly DC 2.0 Build Out

In early August, General Assembly DC expanded its 8th floor office space by taking over offices previously used by neighboring tech incubator and landlord, 1776, regional director Paul Gleger told DC Inno.

Located at 1133 15th St NW, the tech education workshop renovated some 8th floor office space previously occupied by 1776 to expanded from three to six full-time classrooms.

The 8th floor is now almost entirely GA-focused, with a few 1776-mentored startups still working out of personal offices that circle a large coworking space on the office's south end.

The renovation effort effectively added 8,000 square feet to help fit more students and additional courses. We got a chance to tour GA's office with Gleger earlier today. Between the white boards, glass-enclosed classrooms and large co-working spaces, GA is building a powerhouse education center. Enjoy the visit.
