Comcast is betting on super fast Internet

Everyone complains about Comcast, but the company is planning a speed upgrade that might slow down one aspect of the complaints. The telecom giant said that it will start laying down the cables for 1 gigabit per second Internet speed, a rate comparable to Google Fiber. If it can get that service to its 22 million broadband subscribers in the next two to three years as it claims, it will be well positioned to compete against any of its rivals in the race to provide faster connections.
