The TU Incubator at Towson University has hosted plenty of intriguing startups, with almost a dozen graduates since 2007. We took a look at some of the successful graduates to highlight some of the innovation going on at the Baltimore-area incubator. Check out the whole group here.

The Hyperloop is starting to accelerate

Elon Musk’s idea for a Hyperloop transit system using high-speed pneumatic tubes took a big step toward becoming reality on Thursday. Hyperloop Transportation Technologies arranged deals with agreements to work with two major engineering firms on the project in exchange for stock options. Long-distance commuting might become a lot easier sooner than you think. Read more from Wired here.

Urgent.ly's latest advance

Virginia roadside assistance app Urgent.ly scored another big partnership, this time with driver analytics and accident detector startup Zendrive. Zendrive's accident detection technology combined with the Urgent.ly will be able to determine where it happened and send assistance to the driver while automatically alerting friends or family that the user has set ahead of time.
