Urgent.ly is getting into connected cars

Urgent.ly, a Virginia startup that helps drivers get roadside assistance will now be integrated into connected cars using the Mojio platform. The Mojio Drive platform's Gauge app will include Urgent.ly's roadside assistance tool, so that drivers will be able to get roadside assistance to their location. Inc.'s annual list of fastest-growing private companies is out—and as usual, the revenue disclosures are more interesting than the growth rate (which favors those with a small amount of revenue to begin with). WeddingWire, VideoBlocks and Zippy Shell are among the familiar names making the list (and showing impressive revenue growth). Those making the top 2,000 from the D.C. area's tech industry include:

A mixed day for DC tech on Wall Street

Utility management software and consulting company Opower and IT firm Computer Sciences Corp. both came out with their recent quarter's earnings on Tuesday. While Opower managed to beat expectations in both revenue and earnings, CSC fell a bit below in revenue although it did beat analyst predictions for its earnings.
