DC startup Caviar is offering free food delivery this week

D.C.-based food delivery startup Caviar is doing a special free delivery service this week for all of its "local deals" restaurants in D.C. Any orders made through Caviar will only cost as much as the food (and whatever tip you want to give). The deal is a celebration of a year since Caviar teamed up with Square payment service. Caviar has since reached over 700 restaurants around the country, including several dozen in D.C. including Ben's Chil Bowl, El Centro and the Black Squirrel.

Uber's internal documents show some troubling financials

Uber may be worth $50 billion according to Wall Street, but internal documents published by Gawker show that the ride-hailing platform is far from profitable. The documents show Uber losing hundreds of millions of dollars over the last few years. On top of that, CEO Travis Kalanick may have been exaggerating about how much revenue growth the company has had as well. The question now is whether this will hurt Uber's valuation and its plans for an eventual IPO. Find out more from Gawker here.

Tesla beats analyst expectations

Tesla came out with its earnings report Wednesday afternoon and beat expectations for both earnings and revenue. Tesla reported revenue of $1.2 billion, just slightly beating the $1.17 billion expected, while its losses came at 48 cents a share rather than the 60 cents per share loss predicted.
