AT&T completes DIRECTV acquisition

AT&T has officially finished its acquisition of DIRECTV. It's now the largest pay TV provider in the world, with more than 26 million customers just in the U.S. That's in addition to its the 132 million wireless subscribers in the U.S. and Mexico. It looked touch-and-go for awhile whether federal regulators would allow the deal to go through, but in the end, the FCC and FTC approved the $49 billion deal.

Uber is delivering election-themed ice cream drumsticks in D.C. today

Starting at 11 a.m. today in D.C., you can get presidential election-themed Drumsticks delivered curbside by Uber for $3 each with a $15 minimum. To order your frozen treat, you can toggle to the ICE CREAM option on the Uber app and choose a red, white or blue sleeve to show your political party allegiance. Capital One cardholders also get a free $15 order of ice cream by choosing their Capital One card as payment and entering SWEETDEAL as the promo code. And because Uber teamed up with Nestlé for this event, all ice cream customers are entered for a chance to win free Nestlé products for a year.

Franken has claimed that Apple's rules illegally limit competition, especially the 30 percent cut it takes on App Store apps.
