DC Tech Madness: Round 3 Winners, Round 4 Voting (Elite 8)



After an intense 3rd round that saw some epic matchups, #DCTechMadness is on to its 4th round. The Sweet 16 showcased some amazing battles. The Canvas (10) team, who still amassed more than 1,000 votes, met the “Kentucky” of this competition, Everfi (6). Higher seeded companies, like RideScout, Social Tables and FiscalNote, are making a real play for the championship. Though the dust may still be settling on the last round of #DCTechMadness, the Elite 8 is now revealed. Rally the troops, push out the votes and let’s see who can win it all!

Here are some quick highlights from the 3rd round

  • Total Votes: 8,223 votes
  • An Arms Races: The matchup between Everfi (6) and Canvas (10) pulled in a total of 2,552 votes! Without a doubt the most of any matchup during #DCTechMadness
  • The Giant: Everfi (6) has proven to be the Kentucky Basketball team of this year’s competition
  • Cinderella Story: UrbanStems (16) moves on after beating VideoBlocks (5)
  • Nail Biters: Social Tables (9) came back to pass TrackMaven (5) by only 40 votes. The ISL (8) vs Optoro (4) matchup was decided by less than 40 votes.
  • 10-Seed Magic: RideScout (10) was able to pull the upset against Clarabridge (3) by a 28 percent voter margin.
Voting for the 4th Round of #DCTechMadness has officially closed. On Wednesday (April 1st) the Final 4 companies will be announced, along with the opening of the 5th round of voting.
