GW's Startup Career Expo Successfully Attracted the Best of DC Tech to Campus

20140305_140543

At first the room seemed rather vacant – that was until the clock struck 1 p.m. It was then that the students piled in, filtering through the conference room chock full of up-and-coming startups looking for collegiate talent to hire on board. The idea of working for a fresh new business peaked the interest of 20-somethings traversing through George Washington University's Startup Career Expo and the prospect of finding the best bright minds of tomorrow easily attracted D.C. Tech's finest to school grounds, including us here at InTheCapital.

The students were forthcoming, unafraid of approaching representatives from the companies they had their eyes on, and the startups sure weren't shy about pitching their fledgling businesses to the educated masses. It was a win-win situation where both parties benefited from meeting one another, swapping business cards and résumés to connect after the career fair came to an end.

Among the startups present were YapperApp, socialtables, Contactually, GoFarGoLocal and Industry Dive.
