DC Tech, Make Your Next Student Hire at GW's Startup Career Expo

It may not look or feel like it outside, but spring is right around the corner. That means it's time for students to begin their internship and job searches while businesses sift through one résumé after another to find their perfect recruit match. Not all young companies just getting their feet off the ground have the resources to pay for entrance into career fairs to find the undeniable talent thriving on college campuses, though, and that's where George Washington University comes in to play.

Offering students the opportunity to wear many different hats by working for a startup and providing fledgling businesses with the chance to meet their ideal employee match, GW's Startup Career Expo is going to be a must-attend event.

Dubbed the "one-stop shop for all startups looking to attract the best talent and youthful energy to fuel their growth," hundreds of students from a wide range of majors and disciplines will be present on Wednesday, March 5 at the expo. Undergraduates and graduates with the entrepreneurial itch will travel from table to table in the Marvin Center Continental Ballroom on campus ready to connect with the D.C. area's hottest startups.

What stands out about this career fair in particular is that it's completely free for all startups. So as long as you register here, finding your future interns and employees will be a cinch.

It's also worth noting that GW has partnered with other local universities to ensure that students from across the region learn all about the burgeoning startup community here in the District. There will be students from American University, Boston University Center for Digital Imaging Arts, Georgetown University, George Mason University, Howard University, James Madison University, Johns Hopkins University, Marymount University, Northern Virginia Community College, University of Maryland, University of Mary Washington, University of Richmond, Virginia Tech, and even the University of Virginia.

The event will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at 800 21st Street NW, Washington, D.C., on the third floor of the Marvin Center. Students and alumni interested in attending can register via their existing GWork accounts by visiting here and RSVPing through the Events tab.

See you there!
