The Future CEOs of America Agree: Launching a Startup is an Essential Experience [Infographic]

Have you ever wondered what CEOs will be like 20 years from now, even 10 years down the line? Can you imagine rambunctious recent grads turned high-level executives running multi-million dollar businesses, using their pedigree to lead the brilliant minds of tomorrow? Will they use their beer bargaining skills when at the helm of their own companies, too? Guess no more.

CEO.com has gone ahead and asked these students aspiring to the C-suite what they think about education, entrepreneurial experience, leadership and management, social media, as well as their top priorities for the next decade to quell your fears for the next generation of industry leaders.

The website surveyed more than 2,400 students interested in taking over the business world. They attracted respondents from 499 schools in 45 of the 50 states all of whom shared their views on the characteristics a CEO must embody in order to be successful.

The results were compiled into an infographic entitled, "Meet the CEOs of Tomorrow: America's College Students," hinting towards what we can expect from these passionate 20-somethings once they're groomed into full-fledged business pros.

The infographic provides a whole slew of interesting information, but what's perhaps most interesting is what the students had to say about entrepreneurship. When asked what type of experience really matters to students aspiring to the CEO office, 57 percent of respondents agreed that starting a company is an essential experience in a successful CEO's life. So for all of you young, up-and-coming go-getters with a knack for entrepreneurship and a thirst for innovation, acquiring the position of CEO may be in the cards for you after all.
