Each year the Washington Business Journal releases its Power 100, a compilation of the most powerful business players in the District of Columbia. For sake of a relevant list, WBJ omits all political players and elected officials. Otherwise, though, the lists is dtermined by three things: "You have to be influential, respected and able to get things done. "
This year, the Power 100 had a bevy of influential leaders in the intersection tech and venture capital, as those sectors continue to grow together as of late. To be specific, nearly a quarter – or 22 – of the 100 men and women on this list came from D.C.'s innovation and disruption industries.
