DC Entrepreneurship Week 2013 Announced

Mark your calendars: the organizers of D.C. Entrepreneurship Week announced today the 2013 edition will run Oct. 7-11. With the purpose of bringing together the city's entrepreneurs for collaboration, mentorship and the opportunity to pitch to investors, the five-day event is filled with informative sessions planned for D.C.'s business-minded community.

Founder of the event, Joe Leonardo, came up with the idea to connect entrepreneurs in D.C. when he himself was feeling disconnects within the community. Much has changed since that time, but events like Leonardo's can be the difference maker for many startups struggling to get in front of investors and make connections with people in similar shoes.

Hosted at both DLA Piper and 1776, Entrepreneurship Week 2013 will give entrepreneurs opportunities to sit in on discussions and roundtables with great speakers focusing on subjects like startup regulations, company culture, scaling a business and attracting capital, to name a few.

If you wish to attend any of the week's events, you can purchase passes individually based on the sessions you are most interested in for $15 each, or you can buy a week-long pass to all of the events for $99. Some events like the "DC Cocktail Hour" and the closing event at 1776 are free. Additionally, the sessions to pitch to investors are free, but you and your company must be selected to do so.

Entrepreneurship Week is great for anyone looking for advice, connections or capital to help grow their company. The event is less than a month away, so make sure you don't miss out – register here.
