D.C.-based digital transformation consulting firm Incapsulate LLC has been acquired by IT professional services giant Accenture PLC.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Incapsulate, founded in 2008 and led by CEO Ajay Batish, specializes in Salesforce consulting for public sector and financial services customers. Salesforce is a leader in customer relationship management software, focused on sales and marketing automation. More than 275 Incapsulate employees, including Salesforce practitioners and software engineers, are joining Accenture’s Salesforce unit through the deal.

“With Incapsulate onboard, we have strengthened our Salesforce services, particularly in the insurance and public sector industries, enhancing our ability to accelerate digital transformation and unlock business value for our clients,” Emma McGuigan, Accenture’s enterprise and industries technology lead, said in a statement.

Incapsultate is headquartered at Brookfield’s 650 Massachusetts Ave. NW. It also has offices in Boston and Toronto as well as in Ahmedabad and Hyderabad, India.

Batish said in a statement the acquisition will allow his firm to “further scale both our industry and Salesforce expertise and experience to support an even broader spectrum of clients, while offering new growth opportunities for our people.”

Accenture says it employs more than 50,000 employees who support Salesforce implementation services utilizing data and artificial intelligence-driven insights.
