Back in 2018, a freshly hatched startup walked into a DC Tech Madness event and did a walk-on pitch in hopes of making it into that year's bracket. They made it. And for two years in a row, they rallied their friends and customers to bring them to the Final Four.

Now, that company has won the 2020 DC Inno Tech Madness championship.

Goodfynd, a food truck discovery startup, strung together a series of impressive wins throughout this year's Tech Madness competition. But no match was quite as big as the championship round when they were matched up against marketing and sales campaign platform Triblio.

In the end, Goodfynd surged to a strong lead and won the championship with 71% of the vote. But, considering there were nearly 19,000 votes cast in this year's local Tech Madness competition, you could say all the startups in the bracket won some significant support from the community.

Please join us in sending a big, loud CONGRATULATIONS!!! to Goodfynd! Now, cue the music ...

And, join us in a massive round of socially distant high fives and congrats for all 32 D.C. area tech startups in this year's competition!

We started this friendly competition as a way to draw awareness to some of the local ecosystem's most interesting startups. The competition asks the community to vote based on one simple question: Which companies would you most want to invest in?

A big thank you to all the participants and to everyone in the community who voted for their favorite startups throughout the competition.

Here's a final look at the bracket. Cheers!
