Amazon has officially launched its hiring efforts for its new Arlington County headquarters, the company said in a blog post Monday.

Five positions at Arlington HQ2 are listed on Amazon's careers site, with the titles Global Category Manager, Senior Financial Analyst and HR Specialist.

The company said it is “ahead of schedule” for the new construction, partly due to the “warm welcome from the community and the strong support from state and local government,” and plans to create 400 jobs by the end of the year. Its plan is to grow the Virginia office to 25,000 employees over the next 10 years, according to the post.

“The human resources leaders will help us recruit diverse and customer-obsessed teams, and the finance, sourcing and facilities professionals will support development of our new sites with the goal of building a unique, sustainable and urban campus for our employees and the local community,” Ardine Williams, vice president of workforce development, said in a statement.

Amazon has not listed salaries in its jobs postings, but according to Glassdoor, category managers at Amazon earn an average of about $128,000 per year, while senior financial analysts average $113,000 and HR specialists average $77,000.

As Amazon works to open its first building this fall, new hires will work from a temporary space in Crystal City. It eventually plans to invest $2.5 billion and occupy 4 million square feet for HQ2.

The hiring launch comes two months after the Arlington County Board voted to authorize millions of dollars in job-growth incentives to the e-commerce giant.

It also follows the company's recent announcement that its Amazon Future Engineer Program will help fund computer science classes in 27 schools across Virginia, in addition to literacy programs and STEM labs in over 50 schools in the state.
