Each year, Inc. magazine turns a spotlight on the top 5,000 fastest growing privately-owned companies in its Inc 5000 list.

This year, the big unveiling came today, and the Washington, D.C. metro area had 324 companies make the list — the second highest of all metro areas listed.

Of those in the metro area that made the list, nine cracked the top 100: DGC International, TechAnax, Interactive Government Holdings, Enhanced Veterans Solutions, ByteCubed, FedBiz IT Solutions, Associated Veterans, A. Prentice Ray & Associates and Harbinger.

The 2017 list is determined based on the revenue growth percentage between 2013 and 2016. Companies must be based in the U.S. and have been generating revenue by March 31, 2013.

So, without further adieu, here's who made the 2017 Inc. 5000 list in the DMV—

*Editor's note: The list sent to DC Inno only includes the 44 in Washington, D.C. specifically. To find companies in surrounding cities, head to Inc's list and search by metro area.
