Introduction to American Inno

A healthy ecosystem requires a number of crucial ingredients - great founders, successful serial entrepreneurs, an active investment community, universities, mentors, accelerators, co-working spaces, and many more.

It also needs a media component that’s covering, informing and connecting the local innovation community.

Since we launched BostInno in 2007, we’ve aimed to be your source for local innovation. In 2010, we expanded into D.C, then Chicago and Austin in 2014 and 2015, and Minneapolis and Rhode Island this Summer. In every city we’re in, Inno strengthens these communities through authoritative, engaging editorial, daily and weekly newsletters and monthly events and meetups.

Today, we’re excited to announce a handful of changes. First, it’s important to the note that the company’s original mission - everything mentioned above - remains the same. We are, more than ever, committed to strengthening local innovation economies through editorial and events. But, there is in innovation happening everywhere, and we want and need to be in more communities.

To do so, we have redesigned our site and product to better serve our existing markets - showcasing our daily newsletter, our resource-driven editorial and our events – and allow us to expand more easily. (Let us know what you think of the new look and layout; you’re on one now!)

Our sites will also live on one URL structure (americaninno.com) - enabling us to more effectively share insights and analysis across markets - and we have rebranded the umbrella company from Streetwise Media to American Inno, further reinforcing our commitment to local innovation.

We look forward to growing Inno with you so please let us know where you’d like to see us next!
