Want That First Date to Lead to a Second? Don't Drink Tequila and Go to Founding Farmers

Dating app Hinge thinks it knows why your first date the other night didn't lead to a second—or, at least, part of the reason why: You went to the wrong place.

According to a new survey the app conducted among 8,000 users in six different metropolitan areas, including 1,200 in D.C., daters in D.C. aren't a big fan of park dates or grabbing drinks at Bar Dupont or All Souls near U Street. Keep in mind, Hinge is an app that markets itself for people looking for long-term, committed relationships. Think of the people who are tired of swiping, but like the flexibility and ease of apps like Tinder. That's Hinge.

Hinge users do love grabbing drinks, though—you have a 48 percent likelihood of going on a second date if you go to a bar for your first one. But even better? Heading to a movie or show, where, according to the surveyed Hinge users, you have a 59 percent likelihood of landing a second date.
