Reebok and Handstand, an app that's been dubbed the "Uber for personal trainers," have partnered to help D.C. residents fulfill that New Year's resolution to workout more.
Today through Friday, people in D.C. can book a free hour-long session with a personal trainer, which is usually $50 through Handstand, a Santa Monica, Calif.-based app. The promotion runs through Jan. 20 in D.C. and nine other cities, including New York City, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle and Miami.
If you're familiar with promotions from Uber to give out flu shots or let people play with puppies, the idea from Handstand and Reebok is pretty similar. Book a session sometime this week for any time in the rest of the month, and it will be free of cost. Personal trainers offer sessions such as slow flow yoga, boxing, HIIT, circuits and pilates, and they can meet users anywhere they want—whether that be in their homes, their offices or even outside at a park.
The partnership is all a part of Reebok's "Be More Human" campaign, a marketing strategy aimed at celebrating the stories of how hard people work in their workouts. Learn more about the campaign in the video below:
