Tom Brady, Under Armour Team Up on Recovery Pajamas

Feeling sore at the gym day after day? Blame your pajamas.

Pats QB Tom Brady has teamed up with longtime sponsor Under Armour on a line of "Athlete Recovery Sleepwear," designed to decrease inflammation while you rest so you're better able to tackle your day the next morning. Misty Copeland, a principal dancer with the American Ballet Theatre, is also featured in the campaign.

"I believe you can only work out as hard as your ability to recover," Brady says in a promo video, below. "To be able to rebuild my body with a good night of sleep is so important to my ability to continue to play football at a very high level."

The technology behind it is something called "Far infrared waves," described on the UA website as such:

Far Infrared is a type of energy on the infrared spectrum that has several benefits for the human body. TB12 technology was developed to harness it even when you’re resting. The soft bioceramic print on the inside of the garment absorbs the body’s natural heat and reflects Far Infrared back to the skin. This helps your body recover faster, promotes better sleep, reduces inflammation, and regulates cell metabolism.

The line, offered for men and women, features pants and short- and long-sleeved shirt. Everything retails between $80 and $100.

"What you are tomorrow is really what you're planning for today," says Brady.
