Looking to do something a little different this coming Black Friday? Skedaddle, a Boston-based on-demand charter bus startup, is teaming up with national retailer REI to give free bus rides to national and state parks from five U.S. cities.

The Nov. 25 promotion is being done as part of REI's #OptOutside campaign, which encourages people to get outside and skip the regular Black Friday festivities. Skedaddle is offering free bus rides from REI locations in Washington, D.C., Boston, Denver, San Francisco and Seattle. All trips begin around 8 or 9 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m. Seats are limited.

Here is the full list of free trips being provided by Skedaddle on Nov. 25:

  • Washington, DC REI to Great Falls Overlook, VA
  • Boston REI to Mt Monadnock State Park, NH
  • Denver REI to Golden Gate Canyon State Park, CO
  • San Francisco REI to Pierce Point Ranch & Tule Elk Preserve, CA
  • Seattle REI to Olympic National Park, WA

You can find all of the booking information for the trips here.

"When we saw REI was again encouraging people to get outdoors on Black Friday, we knew we had to do something to improve access to the outdoors for those who would love to participate but might lack the resources to get outside their cities," Adam Nestler, CEO and co-founder of Skedaddle, said in a statement.
