Campus startups to watch in 2016
  • Innovation on college campuses is only getting hotter. I took a look at some of the startups either born in or inspired by college life. Check out seven to watch in 2016, including ways to improve college gyms, an app for smarter cosmetics consumption and a startup to help college athletes get jobs at tech startups.

Nine startup exits to know
  • 2015 had a lot of important IPOs and acquisitions. Chris Bing chronicles the nine most important exits of the year, where investors either cashed in or got burned badly.
SpaceX rockets to success
  • Elon Musk and the SpaceX team had plenty to cheer about last night as the Falcon 9 rocket they launched successfully sent 11 satellites into space and then gently touched back down, softly enough that the rocket could be reused. This is the first time a rocket has been able to accomplish this (despite what Jeff Bezos may say) and puts SpaceX back on track for 2016 after the previous rocket launch ended in an explosive failure six months ago. With this success under their belt, the SpaceX team can now rightly claim that they'll soon be offering enormously cheaper trips into orbit, and that their outline for manned trips can now really start to take shape.
