comScore co-founder and CEO Gian Fulgoni plans to retire at the end of the year, the company announced on Oct. 25. The announcement comes after a year of financial woes for the Reston, Va.-based audience measurement company. comScore was delisted from the Nasdaq after failing to file a few required SEC filings, and it has since missed two self-imposed deadlines to catch up. At the same time, the company just settled a lawsuit with shareholder and activist investor Starboard Value.
Inova Health
Mach37's Rick Gordon has a new gig as of Oct. 19. Along with sitting on the board of Chantilly, Va.-based Atomicorp, Gordon will also be heading up Inova Health's personalized medicine accelerator. Gordon was removed from the Mach37 team in early July after his unsuccessful bid to purchase the cybersecurity accelerator from its current owner, the Center for Innovative Technology. Now, Gordon will join Michael Thomas, founder of startup consulting firm Appian Partners, as a director of the accelerator.

The design firm behind some of D.C.'s most iconic spots is expanding its team, according to an email on Oct. 18. Georgetown-based //3877 has added Lesley Golenor as an architect; Jessica Swida as an interior designer and Jean-Paul Fiedler as an architecture expert. The three new hires bring //3877's team past 20 members.
Capterra
It looks like Capterra has a new general manager in its ranks. According to a press release on Oct. 17, Claire Alexander is joining the Arlington, Va.-based team to oversee day-to-day operations and lead strategic vision for the organization. Alexander joins the team from Oracle.
HighPoint Global
HighPoint Global has made a few new hires in its D.C. and Baltimore offices this week, according to a press release on Oct. 13. Eric Anderson has joined as director of capture management in D.C., Cynthia Karst is now director of customer solutions in D.C. and Mary Ann Monroe is the director of customer experience based in Baltimore.
Sonatype
Fulton, Md.-based Sonatype has named Bill Karpovich as its new senior vice president of strategy and corporate development, according to a press release on Oct. 12. In his new role, Karpovich will lead portfolio evolution, strategic partnering, acquisitions and new growth initiatives worldwide. Karpovich joins Sonatype, which focuses on software supply chain automation, from IBM, where he was a general manager for the company's Cloud and Watson Platform division.
Distil Networks
Distil Networks has brought on a new CEO. According to a release on Oct. 11, the San Francisco-based company, with a heavy presence in Arlington, has named Tiffany Olson Jones to the top position. Jones joins Distil Networks from multiple roles at FireEye, a publicly-traded cybersecurity company. Most recently, she was the company's vice president of global solution providers. Rami Essaid, Distil's co-founder, will transition into the role of Chief Product and Strategy Officer from the CEO position. He will also continue to be the chairman of the company's board.
Phone2Action
Digital advocacy and engagement software platform Phone2Action has a new Head of Alliances and Stakeholder Impact, according to an email release on Oct. 9. Erik Rosedahl has taken on the new role, and he will work to build Phone2Action's presence in key businesses, including advocacy communities and markets. Rosedahl will also work with current and future customers, including Patagonia, Ben & Jerry's, The American Heart Association and the Consumer Technology Association.
DivvyCloud
Looks like DivvyCloud has a new chief marketing officer. According to a press release on Oct. 5, the Arlington, Va.-based company is bringing on Christopher Hertz for the executive role. Hertz will scale DivvyCloud's sales and marketing in his new role, and the hire comes as the company closes its $6 million equity funding round. Most recently, Hertz was the founder and president of New Signature, an IT consulting firm that helped customers migrate to the cloud.
Research Innovations
On Oct. 2, Research Innovations Inc (RII), a provider of software and solutions for the government and military, announced the appointment of Brian Shirey as Vice President of Cyber Technologies & Solutions. Shirey previously served as the Global Chief Architect for Forcepoint and, prior to that, was a key member of the leadership team that launched SI Government Solutions. According to a release, Shirey will help RII “continue to provide innovative full-spectrum cyber solutions to the DoD and Intelligence Community.”
