Here are all of the tech funding deals out of the Washington, D.C., area this week. These are tech companies that have attracted investment and are keen to grow. We’ll be updating this post as more news comes out this week.

Monday, April 18 Signal Vine (Alexandria, Va.)

  • Deal: raised $175K in debt financing from a total $400K offering, according to an SEC filing
  • Investors: undisclosed
  • What they do: developers of an education-centric two-way, intelligent text messaging platform layered with data analytics. The platform "delivers high student engagement and statistically significant outcomes within college attainment, persistence, attendance and more," the company's website reads.
  • Other details: a privately held company founded in 2013 that employs roughly 15 people.

UrbanStems (Washington, D.C.)

  • Deal: raised a $900K debt round, according to an SEC filing
  • Investors: undisclosed
  • What they do: a marketplace for flowers and delivery options from local producers
