Here are all of the tech funding deals out of the Washington, D.C., area this week. These are tech companies that have attracted investment and are keen to grow. We’ll be updating this post as more news comes out this week.

LiteSheet Solutions (Bedford, V.A.)

  • Deal: undisclosed funding amount, announced by co. 
  • Investors: The Center for Innovative Technology (CIT GAP Funds) -- more specifically, GAP Funds Commonwealth Energy Fund (CEF)
  • What they do: a AC Direct LED light engine -- eliminating the AC to DC power supply that is used by conventional LED lighting
  • Other details: Ed Albrigo, CIT President and CEO, said in a statement: “CIT is honored to invest in innovative entrepreneurs and products that are the foundation of our new Virginia economy. The team at LiteSheet has developed new lighting innovations that will not only reduce energy consumption but also produce jobs here at home.”
