About the company: ElectroTempo Inc., founded in 2020 by CEO Ann Xu and Chief Operating Officer Patrick Finch, is a software-as-a-service company headquartered in Arlington. With a team of 16 full-time employees, ElectroTempo is working to revolutionize the electric vehicle (EV) charging landscape, a growing marketplace amid increased interest in EV adoption. The startup’s core focus lies in EV charging infrastructure planning and intelligence. ElectroTempo’s platform predicts EV charging demand from both passenger and fleet vehicles throughout a given day to optimize charging and grid infrastructure to meet this demand efficiently. It accomplishes this with specialized transportation and grid datasets to inform its predictions. ElectroTempo also incorporates machine learning algorithms to better learn and adapt to demand, leading to more accurate forecasts, which permit it to also make large-scale simulation models. Its customers are utilities and EV fleet operators, which pay licensing fees for access to ElectroTempo’s services.
