WeWork Labs, WeWork’s global platform dedicated to empowering early-stage startups, is launching in Minneapolis. This marks the first WeWork Labs in the Midwest and aims to help build and promote a collaborative startup ecosystem in the region, bringing early-stage startups together with WeWork’s global community.

Launched in 2018, WeWork Labs takes an innovative and personalized approach to help early-stage startups succeed, providing members with space, global community, and educational resources to help grow their business. Through the startup-focused curriculum, a global member network, and robust mentorship program, WeWork Labs guides entrepreneurs through the initial stages of building a business, creating the framework that gives members the support they need to succeed.

“As a native Minnesotan, it’s a very exciting time to be bringing WeWork Labs to Minneapolis,” said Bailey Dodds, Expansion Director for North America, WeWork Labs. “This city has quickly become a growing hub for innovation, welcoming early-stage startups working on impactful ideas and large corporations seeking to collaborate and innovate. By leveraging our global platform, we have the unique opportunity to connect Minneapolis entrepreneurs with the resources and opportunities they need to succeed, while also facilitating interactions between startups and larger corporates.”

“We're proud to welcome WeWork Labs to Minneapolis at our 1330 Lagoon location in Uptown,” said Megan Dodds, WeWork Midwest General Manager. “We will continue supporting entrepreneurs and early-stage startups with meaningful resources and community. Having WeWork Labs here is a great opportunity for the Minneapolis business ecosystem as a whole."

WeWork Labs is designed to be an inclusive, collaborative and flexible program open to entrepreneurs from all industries and backgrounds. In Minneapolis, WeWork Labs will join an already growing WeWork community of more than 1,500 members, and further support startups within the local startup ecosystem.

WeWork Labs will also work to partner with local incubators, accelerators, and venture capitalists to further enhance the local startup community, working together to develop programming and industry connectivity both within the region and on a global scale.

WeWork Labs in Minneapolis will open its doors in March 2019 at WeWork 1330 Lagoon Ave, joining over33 WeWork Labs locations across the globe in cities including New York, Gurugram, Seattle, Shanghai and São Paulo. WeWork Labs will offer customized and curated support for local entrepreneurs, while at the same time providing a community of resources through WeWork’s global network.
